Description Slava 2428 Olympic USSR Wristwatch 1980s Men's Mechanical 26 Jewels
This Slava 2428 Olympic wristwatch comes from the Second Moscow Watch Factory and dates to the 1980s. It is a serviced men's mechanical USSR watch, fully disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, reassembled and regulated on 17.08.2026.
The Look
The brown dial gives this Slava a warm, period-correct presence, especially against the gold-tone cushion case. Applied markers frame the dial, with gold hands and white hand inserts keeping the layout clear and balanced. The dial carries the Moscow 80 text, the 1980 Olympics logo, Slava branding and 26 jewels marking, all under an acrylic crystal. It has the unmistakable character of a late Soviet commemorative watch without feeling overdone.
Inside the Case
Inside is the Slava caliber 2428, a mechanical movement known to collectors for its practical day-date layout and distinctive Soviet engineering. This example has been fully serviced and regulated.

Condition and Service
The dial is in good condition with no damage noted, which is important on a commemorative Olympic piece where the graphics are a central part of the appeal. The case shows small scratches and light wear, consistent with a vintage gold-plated watch that has been worn rather than stored away untouched.
The screw-down caseback is in good condition and carries a personal gift engraving: To Grigory Semenovich from the KSU-230 Team 24.2.1980. 50 Years. The watch is described as all original apart from the replacement strap, and the movement was fully serviced on 17.08.2026: completely disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, lubricated, reassembled and precisely regulated.
Why This One Is Interesting
This is a strong collector's Slava because it combines the Moscow 80 Olympic dial, 26-jewel caliber 2428, brown dial, gold-plated cushion case and a dated presentation engraving from 1980. The serviced movement makes it more than a display piece, while the honest case wear keeps its Soviet-era character intact.
