Description ZIM Cal. 2602 USSR Men's Mechanical Wristwatch 1980s, 15 Jewels
This ZIM Cal. 2602 men's wristwatch comes from the Kuibyshev Maslennikov Factory, dating to the 1980s, circa 1986. It is a serviced, all-original Soviet mechanical watch with a classic small-seconds layout and a clean silver dial.
The Look
The silver dial gives this ZIM a crisp, practical character, with Arabic numerals that keep the face easy to read at a glance. The dial is signed ZIM and marked Made in USSR, a detail collectors often look for on export-era Soviet pieces. Blued hands add a sharp flash of color against the silver surface, while the small seconds subdial brings a pleasing vintage balance to the layout. An acrylic crystal completes the period-correct feel, giving the watch the warmer visual softness expected from a mechanical wristwatch of this era.
Inside the Case
Power comes from the ZIM 2602 mechanical movement, a straightforward hand-wound Soviet caliber known for its simple, serviceable construction. This example has been fully serviced and regulated on a timegrapher.
